This year has started with a series of big changes for JOANITA.CO. I have moved in to my first studio / office space where I plan to develop even more limited-edition products and help other creatives with strong visual content that are brand specific.

I have also worked with the lovely Bredine from Her Studio to create this new platform where I can live out all my JOANITA.CO dreams.

None of it would have been possible if it had not been for all the wonderful projects that came about in 2021. I left magazines in 2017 to focus on family life, but work kept on following me and I realised that a space dedicated to my styling, consulting and creating is imperative to the growth of the company in the years to come.

I also started working with Carla Steenkamp who assisted me on larger, and then also smaller jobs. It’s a pleasure to have her on set and she is always willing to help and learn which makes my job so much easier.

So, here’s to 2022 and all the wonderful shoots, consultations, collaborations, creations and curations it may bring.
